I haven't got anything smart to say. Just a picture (or a few) a day to help us remember these busy growing years.

Winning The Booby Prize

Earlier in the day we had gone underneath the harbour bridge to pier two (marked 70 just like the book) to shout to the taniwha of the bridge "Tena koe Taniwha!" after reading The Guardian Of The Bridge, a Christmas prezzie from Grandma J. Did we hear a reply? But of course!

"Tena koutou tamariki ma!"

And lastly, well this seems really funny now, but maybe only because I've had a billion relief wines this evening? P3 came up to me this evening and said "This is what you wear on a hot sunny day."

Totally nudey under the dressing gown. :)
(Hope she made you smile Mutti.)

More Anglo-Rellies

L6 is looking just too grown up for words:

and made firm friends with yet more cousins (I can't work out the official relation title for them all - what the heck are your cousin's children to your children? And cousin's partner - who knows?!) over a tunnel-digging project. Balloons were involved, and there was much concern over the island's horses and future accidental broken ankles.

P3 has had so many late nights that the ocean got the better of her, and she feel asleep in my arms for the first time in years. I absolutely relished it.

Firm friends M-2-days-away-from-19 and Snowflake, L6 and Baboo, P3 and Big Lambie:

and Chicken Daddy M-wouldn't-have-a-clue-of-his-age-but-wasn't-he-lovely-to-my-children taking them to scatter wheat:

Perfect Waiheke Island getaway.

Family Pics And Some Interesting-ness

And in the spirit of un-self-conscious-ness and interesting-ness, I just have to show you my beautiful war wound. Unfortunately I don't have the kind of boobies that deserve to be splashed around on the internet, but they are so fun and technicolour at the moment it'd be a shame not to share. So if you are someone who feels they shouldn't be looking at my boobies, I have spared you by putting the pic a long way down, so just don't scroll and you'll be safe. But if you are ghoulish and want some gore (I've hidden as much of the rude bits as possible so it's really just a kind a reverse low cut dress) check out my black-fadedtopurple-fadingtoyellow boob:

Boxing Day

She might be a mermaid, but it's hard when you are also an English Princess and have to take care not to lose your false fingernails. Funniest line : P3 can you pick up that shell for me so I don't hurt my nails?

These are those long summer days you remember.A Squillion Family Snaps of Christmas Day

Presents presents presents

Wobbliest tooth race between C6 and L6.

Reason number 427 for not marrying one of us - we will make you wear silly earings on Christmas Day. Cousin D puts up with the traditions and still manages to smile.

Christmas Eve
Tallulah and Panama Bob got treated to new straw, which of course, meant the joy of a straw fight.

We harvested strawberries:

and I think, even though they weren't ready for digging, that we gathered enough for Christmas dinner for fourteen:

What you do when you forget to put the sherry in the trifle. I mean, otherwise, what is the point of trifle?
