Aha! Door to somewhere :) It will grey off to match the house in time. If not. . . well, I'll just paint it I imagine.

The builders' off cuts were a veritable bounty for L&P, and they quickly categorized them and made this storage system:

After an afternoon of tinkering L11 had made himself his very first cart, complete with brake system

but unfortunately lacking any kind of steering system.

 P8 had made me a present to store rings on (she later told me the happiest part of her day was giving me a present - naw) and. . . um. . . this too:

Ah Holidays

Holidays with older kids rock. This morning P9 made bikkies all by herself, 

while L11 mowed the lawns with me.

Spent the evening on the kayaks with friends.

Unexpected Adventures

Don't you just love it when unexpected adventures come knocking right on your door? When we woke up this morning we had no idea that P9 was going to go for her first motorbike ride - in a 1938 Panther Redwing 100 with Watsonian sidecar.

Of course after that the boys had to have a go too!

Nine!

Yesterday my fabulous girl turned nine. Nine! Can you believe it?

Such a lovely birthday in the sun.

Pick Your Own

We went strawberry picking and it so happened they also sold strawberry icecream. Big icecream, blended with fresh strawberries. Nom nom nom. 

Camping At Home

Less packing. Better toilets. :) 

 While we were putting up the tent we found this amazing moth in the garden.

We hoped chickens were the only wildlife we were going to encounter

but the cat had other ideas. She was obviously keen to get in, so decided to climb up the inner tent under the flysheet. Made it to the top of the window before we realized too. Grrrr. Window no longer mozzie proof.
