Ha! Read (most of) this great book that P9's art teacher (now my art teacher too) had in her studio. If you get a chance, spoil yourself:
So today we did lots of art. L12 told me he is rubbish at art, which made me sad. Then he did this, which made me (and I hope him) happy:
P9 had her usual dilemma about what to draw, until in the end I gave in and drew this in outline for her (what's the good parent answer to that? I just don't know) and she worked on it and painted it and made it really gorgeous:
I copied a bunch of pics from Cassandra Barney who makes the most lovely pictures:and did this girl too because I like her wide face, even though I've drawn her before. This was a 5 min before school-pick-up desperation art attempt:
I'm only posting all these because my lovely invisible friend asked me to post my painting, and Aunt Iz did too, and since she's totally playing her first chemo card today ;-) who can say no to her? So I did this twisty-neck girl with pencil and watercolour too:
Eeeek, painting is even scarier than drawing, and drawing is really scary. Putting drawings on the internet is pretty much up there too. But I'm grown up and I realize that no-one really gives a damn what you do 'cos they're too busy worrying about what they do. Ain't life awesome?
