Failed in my quest to document L13 this week, but here's one of the back of his head :) Learning to wire a light with Geeky Husband. (I learnt too and independently wired my first light yesterday as well.)

Using his chalkboard wall for good.  It's been ages and there's been no defacing at all, but this appeared yesterday. He's organised, my boy.

And one of me looking funny and old and pink haired. This photo inspired me to take the scissors to my fringe.

Last Week

I looked back over the photos of the week and all I seem to have taken were pictures of P10 and her exploits. Need to infringe on L13's privacy a bit more!

But for now, here's the P10 show.

Painting Club Day

but L-oldfriend couldn't come as she had pukey kids. :( We will get there again! Maybe next week. I'm still the messiest painter in the world, and am completely unable to function unless I'm working on the floor, so I managed to take up the whole room by myself.

Works in progress!

Hate To Say

I told you so. (Actually, I'm quite gleeful about it, but not about that fact that in all probability still nothing will be done.)

This.

PINK , Not Red

So the red was ok, but let's be honest, it wasn't pink. And it looked nice when the hairdresser straightened it three times. (Yes, three times - I have Crazy Curls.) But when I let it go wild, it was kind of. . . . ginga. Old lady ginga too. So I decided to do what any crazy old lady who first dyed her hair at thirteen would do. . . try and do it better myself at home. It was a harrowing journey. I knew the time in the middle would be bad, but as I tried to remind myself, it was bad in the middle when the hairdresser did it too. This is photographic evidence of why you should never, ever put a hairdryer on curls, especially curls you just stripped the colour out of. Warning, DISTRESSINGLY GRAPHIC FRIZZ STRAIGHT OUT OF 1985 PIC:

Wah! I know. It was scary, but handily I have a lion heart, as well as a lion mane. Armed with my trusty tools consisting of a comb, hair tie, and paintbrush (oops, forgot to get a tinting brush) I filled those thirsty cuticles with pink. Pure pink.

And what do you know. . . an hour or so later it was all good.

And seriously pink.

Trust yourself. Who cares if it goes wrong. No-one really takes you seriously anyway. You might as well do wild hair.  Just like these role models. I heart them big time.

Family Treat

Is there anything better than snuggling up in bed with a book written by your very own aunty (under a picture painted for you by said clever aunty too!)?

I Did This

Wanted to get my hair dyed the full on candyfloss pink. Unfortunately it has way too much yellow and it wouldn't bleach down light enough, so I have to make do with screaming red. Hairdresser straightened it, so it won't look like this at all in reality, but it makes a nice change to have smoooooth hair.

I even managed to take a reasonable selfie as if I was a Gen Y-er.

Drawing

Found an amazing kids' book at the library, and just had to draw this little guy from it.  (Terrible phone pic.) I did it in watercolour pencils and he was soooo much fun. I want to make my own little insect/flower/people now. And do lots more pencil stuff.
